More charges in Jefferson City Walgreens robbery
Three Indiana men were given additional charges Thursday after they were indicted by a federal grand jury for robbing a Walgreens pharmacy in Jefferson City.
Jerome King, Raymond Craig and Daijahn Antwan Reed were charged in a seven-count indictment which will replace the criminal complaint that was also filed Thursday.
King, Craig and Reed allegedly pointed a loaded gun at two Walgreens employees and tied one of the employee’s hands behind his back with zip ties. They also allegedly stole $9,264 worth of drugs, including more than 3,000 oxycodone/acetaminophen tablets.
The three men are also charged with using a firearm during a crime of violence, committing an armed robbery that involved the theft of a controlled substance, conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and possessing oxycodone with the intent to distribute.
The robbery happened on July 25 when four men ran from the business once officers arrived. King, Craig and Reed were apprehended by officers, but the fourth person was not.
