Man charged in Camden County assault

Camden County prosecutors charged a man Wednesday in connection with an assault.

According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an assault at a home around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Kaleb Kubalek, 25, fled the scene by jumping off a second-story balcony, a news release said. Authorities said the victim, who is pregnant, suffered minor injuries.

Deputies later found Kubalek at a nearby convenience store and took him into custody, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Prosecutors charged Kubalek with domestic assault, stealing, resisting arrest and peace disturbance.

Online court records indicate Kubalek’s bond was set at $500,000.
