Warm weekend ahead for Mid-Missouri
TODAY: We’ll be seeing plenty of sunshine to begin our weekend! Mostly sunny skies will warm temperatures into the low to middle 90s in the afternoon. A wind out of the south at 8-16 mph in the afternoon will make it feel a little more comfortable outdoors, with some gusts up to 25 mph.
TONIGHT: A complex of thunderstorms currently out west will be moving toward Mid-Missouri as we head into tonight. If this can hold together, we could see some spotty showers for our western counties, but the latest data keeps us dry. Overnight lows will bottom out in the upper 60s to low 70s.
EXTENDED: Sunday looks to be a similar day with plenty of sunshine and highs reaching the low to middle 90s once again. We warm up once again heading into Monday, before a better chance of rain moves into the area overnight in the form of a cold front. This round of rain won’t be enough to solve our drought issues, but we will take anything we can get at this point. Behind the front we’ll see a return to some more seasonable temperatures for the beginning of August. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
