Columbia firefighters respond to house fire

The Columbia Fire Department responded Friday night to a fire at home.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. at a house in the 3400 block of Lost Tree Terrace. Smoke from the fire could be seen from Vandiver Drive.

Fire officials said everyone in the home, along with an animal, made it out safely.

The department could not provide details regarding what started the fire or how much damage the fire caused.
