Hot weekend, rising humidity

TONIGHT: With mostly clear skies, temperatures will bottom out in the mid to upper 60s, with winds out of the south up to 8 mph.

FRIDAY: The work week ends with hotter temperatures as we climb into the mid to upper 90s under mostly sunny skies. Winds will come in from the southwest up to 12 mph. Fortunately, the humidity will still be low.

EXTENDED: We’ll have a hot, dry weekend with nights warming to near 70 and days reaching 94-96 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The humidity will slowly rise and weekend heat indices will climb into the mid to upper 90s, highest Sunday. The next chance of some much needed rainfall moves in Monday night and Tuesday of next week, with possible scattered storms. Monday will reach the low 90s but we’ll cool to the upper 80s to near 90 from Tuesday through the work week as northwesterly winds aloft bring in slightly cooler air. Another cold front moves in around next Thursday night into Friday, bringing another chance of rain. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
