Man charged after leading police on chase in Miller County

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Plattsburg, Missouri man after he led them on a chase reaching speeds more than 100 miles per hour.

The chase went from Pulaski County to Miller County along Highway 17 on Saturday.

According to a press release from the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, Crocker Police were originally pursuing Brandon Mencik because he had felony warrants out for his arrest in Clinton County. Miller County law enforcement and Missouri Highway Patrol were also deployed, and a trooper deployed spike stick, which deflated one of the vehicle’s tires.

Mencik was arrested on an outstanding warrant with a $40,000 cash-only bond. He has also been charged in Miller County with felony resisting arrest. Mencik is being held in the Miller County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
