Summer heat returns for the start of August

TONIGHT: Skies will clear out with winds out of the north up to 5 mph. This will allow low temperatures to drop towards 60 by daybreak, making for a comfortable start to the day. Patchy fog is possible by morning.

WEDNESDAY: The start of August will be warmer and mostly sunny with afternoon temperatures climbing into the upper 80s. Winds will be stay light, under 8 mph from the northwest with low humidity.

EXTENDED: High pressure aloft will build over the area for the rest of the week, bringing back the summer heat. We’ll have abundant sunshine and hot afternoons, reaching 90-93 from Thursday through Monday. Nights will slowly warm to near 70 by the weekend.The humidity doesn’t look as high as what we’ve had in weeks past, but heat indices will return into the mid 90s with slightly humid conditions. As of now, there is no rain in the forecast through the weekend.
