Owner ‘will demolish’ Jefferson City building after wall collapse

Jefferson City buildings official Larry Burkhardt told ABC 17 News the owner of 200 E. High St., has decided to demolish the building after it partially collapsed onto Madison Street in June.

Burkhardt said the owner did not yet have a timeline of when the project will move forward but that the city will likely be involved to issue the necessary permits.

Burkhardt also said it’s unclear how the adjacent buildings will be affected.
