Callaway County deputies arrest wanted Jefferson City man for robbery

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two 18-year-olds after stopping them for traffic violations and realizing they had active warrants.

Deputies said they were patrolling State Road AA near Holts Summit Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. They stopped a car driven by Travis Williams, 18.

Deputies discovered Williams was wanted out of Cole County for robbery and drug charges.

He’s being held on a bond of $11,500.

Williams’ passenger, 18-year-old Larry Lett, also had a warrant for drug charges, but out of Callaway County. He posted a $250 bond and has been released.

Deputies said they will continue to patrol the area “in an effort to curb criminal activity.”
