More widespread rainfall likely Sunday, Fall-like temperatures continue

TONIGHT: Through this evening, spots north of HWY 50 will remain dry, and even those to the south will only see on an off rain chances. Most will stay dry through the midnight hour. The best chance of seeing rain pushing into Mid-Missouri begins after 5am on Sunday. Temperatures are cool again, in the mid 60s.

SUNDAY: Rain chances increase throughout the morning hours into the early afternoon. The rain could be heavy at times, especially north of I-70 where the rain is desperately needed. Some storms are possible in the afternoon in the Southeastern portions of Mid-Missouri… depending on how much sunshine those places see in the morning could help strengthen or weaken afternoon storm development.

EXTENDED: We stay cool to start out your work week with temperatures in the upper 70s… Rain chances continue Monday & Tuesday. We were able to get away with these cooler than average temperatures for the end of July, but as we head into the first half of August, we’re tracking temperatures slowly creeping back up. By the end of the week, more heat and humidity looks to build back into Mid-Missouri… Rain chances possible next weekend.
