Boone County chase ends in motorcycle crash

Boone County deputies issued tickets to a motorcyclist Wednesday night after a chase ended in a crash north of Columbia.

A deputies tried to pull over the motorcycle for a traffic stop near Prathersville and Highway 63, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.

The driver, later identified as Christopher Davison, 47, would not stop and reportedly led the deputy on a chase.

Davidson eventually crashed near the intersection of Alfalfa and Northwood Drive around 11:30 p.m. He tried to run away but was caught after a short foot chase, according to deputies.

Davidson went to the hospital with some minor injuries. Deputies did not take him into custody.
