Below average temperatures through early next week

TONIGHT: Skies will clear out with areas of fog developing mainly south of I-70. Lows will dip to the low 60s as winds come in from the north up to 6 mph.

FRIDAY: The work week will end with beautiful weather. Patchy morning fog will burn off and skies will be mostly sunny through the day. Temperatures will reach the mid 80s with a north breeze up to 10 mph, keeping humidity low.

EXTENDED: . Below average temperatures will continue into the weekend with a slight storm chance Saturday and better chance of showers and storms Sunday. Saturday, most storms look to either go to our north into northern Missouri or into southern Missouri, missing most of our area. This could change, depending on the track of the upper level disturbances but as of now, the chance of rain Saturday is low. There is a slightly better chance Sunday as a storm system passes through southern Missouri. A few showers are possible Saturday night mainly north of I-70 with scattered showers and storms Sunday. Severe storms are not expected. Temperatures will stay mild this weekend, with high temperatures only reaching near 80 and nights in the low to mid 60s. Next week starts off with a chance of rain Monday and Tuesday as temperatures stay below average, reaching near 80 Monday. Temperatures slowly warm through next week as the upper level low pressure area moves off to the east and the upper level ridge builds back in, bringing back summer-like heat by the end of the week.
