Beautiful weather within the days ahead

FRIDAY: A cold front will move through and winds will shift from the west to the northwest at 8-15 mph. However, it will still be hot with high temperatures topping out close to 90. We could see a few isolated storms south of HWY 50 early on Friday morning, but most areas will stay dry. Areas north of I-70 will have mostly sunny skies while areas farther south will see more afternoon clouds. Fortunately, the humidity will drop slightly and heat indices will only reach the mid to upper 90s.

TONIGHT: Under clear skies and northwesterly flow temperatures are going to drop into the mid to upper 60s. Winds will be up to 8 mph, also creating low humidity through the night.

EXTENDED: The upcoming weekend looks mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 and nights in the upper 60s. Dew points will stay in the mid 60s so it will only feel slightly humid as north to northwesterly winds make it feel more comfortable. As we head into next week, the pattern looks to remain fairly quiet and seasonal. Afternoon highs will top out near 90 everyday, with overnight lows in the upper 60s.
