Route B reopened after police investigation of ‘moving violation’
UPDATE – 4:00 A.M.: A Boone County Sheriff’s Department spokesman told ABC 17 News a deputy conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Sgt. Andrew Collins said the area around the 8700 block of Route B, which is just north of Route HH, was closed because of the incident that involved a semi truck blocking the roadway.
No one was hurt in the incident and the road was since cleared.
Collins said there was not a chase or crash as part of the violation.
ORIGINAL: Authorities temporarily shut down a portion of Route B Sunday night while there was a large law enforcement presence in the area.
Boone County Joint Communications sent out an alert around 11:30 p.m. saying the 8700 block of Route B, which is just north of Route HH, was closed due to a “police incident.”
ABC 17 News saw multiple Boone County Sheriff’s deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers on scene. There was also a semi-truck that appeared to be stopped on the road.
Crews on scene would not confirm any details.
