Fairly seasonal week ahead, with little rain chances
MONDAY: It’s a quiet start to the morning across Mid-Missouri, with temperatures hovering in the lower 70s. Unlike last week, this week will see fairly seasonal temperatures, yet still remaining humid. Afternoon highs will top out near 90 degrees with passing clouds expected. We remain dry today, however, a few spot storms can’t be ruled out near I-44.
TONIGHT: It will be a pleasant and mostly clear night across the region. Lows will bottom out near 70 degrees with easterly winds up to 9 mph.
EXTENDED: Tuesday, we’ll see a warm front lift from the south. This will bring a return to the very humid conditions, with afternoon highs back in the lower 90s. Despite the warming temperatures, it will feel nothing like it did last week. Daily storm chances look likely this week, as afternoon heating will lead to the development of some storms. Any storms we see will die off after sunset as we begin to lose the daytime heating. A better chance of storms arrives as we head into Friday, when the high pressure ridge over us begins to break down. This will lead to a cold front tracking through Friday, with scattered showers and storms. It will be cooler and drier as we head into the weekend, as highs only top out in the upper 80s.
