Officer arrived at a residence on 148th Terrace and made contact with the suspect. They said he left his home with two large samurai swords and charged towards officers.

He apparently ignored commands to stop so one Grandview officer fired two bean bag rounds at him, but they had no effect.

The suspect continued to charge toward them with the swords, so one officer fired shots at him. The suspect was taken to a local hospital and the investigation is ongoing.
