Scattered storm chances to start your week, Hardcore summer heat returns Wednesday
TONIGHT: We’re continuing to watch fading clusters of showers and storms fade this evening as we lose heating of the day, however, there’s a chance for another round of thundershowers to roll through after midnight. Lows only drop into the low 70s.
TOMORROW: The latest data is indicating that we stay dry through the morning rush on Monday, however, with an approaching wave of energy set to arrive before lunch time, any faster progression of that could lead to a soggy commute. It will be a good idea to keep the umbrella handy as you’ll need it for the next round of storms that rolls through for the evening rush Monday.
EXTENDED: Our best chance of seeing any widespread severe weather occurs Tuesday evening. We’ll see plenty of sunshine after early morning showers and storms– that sunshine will help fuel an extensive line of thunderstorms Tuesday evening, along which that line could produce winds upwards of 60mph and the potential for some large hail.
