Mild end to the week, rising temperatures this weekend

TONIGHT: Showers and t-storms will decrease in the evening with some isolated showers still possible overnight. Under cloudys skies with winds out of the west from 5-9 mph, we’ll see temperatures drop into the lower 60s by daybreak.

FRIDAY: The work week will end with mild temperatures, only reaching the mid to upper 70s with northwesterly winds up to 13 mph. Spotty showers are possible again with the best chance east of HWY 63. Showers taper off in the evening and temperatures drop to the low 60s overnight.

EXTENDED: Saturday will start off dry with partly cloudy skies, but as a decaying cluster of storms approaches from the southwest we will see increasing rain chances Saturday afternoon. If the system holds together for areas south of I-70 we have a chance to see strong to severe storms with damaging winds and large hail the main threats. We’ll warm in the low 80s Saturday and into the mid to upper 80s Sunday. Only isolated storms are expected Sunday with most of the day dry and warm. It will feel more humid Sunday as dew points climb into the upper 60s. Temperatures will continue heating back up next week, reaching 90 by Wednesday. We’ll have a chance of storms each day in parts of Mid-Missouri as the heat returns. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
