Police, deputies take suspect into custody at Ramada Inn
Columbia police and Boone County deputies took a man into custody early Tuesday morning near the Ramada Inn.
It happened around 2 a.m. near Vandiver Drive and Rangeline Street.
The incident involved a suspect in a reported motorcycle theft, according to Columbia police on scene.
Emergency personnel got a report of a suspicious person behind the hotel. The man reportedly tried to run, but was detained shortly after the attempt.
The suspect’s had outstanding warrants, according to police.
The department has not yet released the suspect’s name.
