Law enforcement search wooded area after crash in southeast Columbia
UPDATE – 4:25 A.M.: Columbia police officers cleared the scene around 4 a.m. Thursday.
CPD told ABC 17 News two vehicles were involved in an early morning crash at the intersection of New Haven Rd. and Rolling Hills Rd. around 2:15 a.m.

Officers said three people were in one of the vehicles, two of whom were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
When asked how many people were in the other vehicle, officers responded by saying, “that’s all I have for you.”

CPD also confirmed a search was underway in the area of the crash, but it yielded nothing.

ORIGINAL: Authorities responded to a crash in southeast Columbia early Thursday morning and started a search shortly after.
Law enforcement first responded to the area of New Haven Rd. and Rolling Hills Rd. around 2:15 a.m.
A deputy on scene told ABC 17 News that they responded to a report of a crash and were looking for someone.
ABC 17 News saw at least seven Columbia police vehicles on scene, a Boone County Sheriff’s deputy and a K-9 unit.
Officers were still searching a wooded area with flashlights and vehicle headlights at 3:30 a.m.
ABC 17 News is working to find out who authorities are looking for and what prompted the search.
