Police confirm gun arrest after stopping I-70 traffic
UPDATE:
On Monday, police confirmed a 19 year-old man was arrested after stopping a car on I-70 eastbound around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Officers claim Abdirahman Nour was chasing another vehicle while flashing a gun out the window. Nour bonded out of the Boone County jail later that same day on Friday, and as of Monday afternoon, he was not officially charged.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Emergency officials issued an alert after a police response closed the I-70 westbound on-ramp Friday evening at the Lake of the Woods exit in east Columbia.
ABC 17 News crews reported seeing at least 6 patrol cars and a K-9 unit at the scene. They later saw a man in handcuffs, while officers searched a car with Texas license plates. They cleared the area shortly before 8 p.m.
