Show-Me State adult games continue in hot temperatures
The Show-Me State adult games kick off Saturday morning with soccer games starting at 8 a.m., and the last game starting at 6:00 p.m.
The adult games are for people 50-years-old and older.
ABC 17 Meteorologist Briget Mahoney said the games will see, “dry conditions with high temperatures in the low 90s but, the humidity will make it feel more like the upper 90s, close to 100 degrees, under partly cloudy skies.”
The Show-Me State Games coordinators recognized how hot it’s going to be this weekend in a Facebook post. It offered tips to stay safe during the heat for both spectators and athletes, which included taking frequent breaks, staying hydrated and bringing a spray bottle to mist yourself and others during the games to help stay cool.
