Man who caused damage to Mizzou Arena put on probation

The man who drove through Mizzou Arena has been placed on probation.

Nathaniel Conant pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of property damage nearly a year after driving through the arena.

The University of Missouri Police Department outlined the following damage estimates in the probable cause statement filed in the case:

Rolling South Gate: $50,000. Dock 1 Garage Door: $25,000. Press Gate: $2,500. Golf Carts: $15,000 each (2).

According to police, the total estimated cost was $107,500.

Online court records show Conant was placed on probation for five years based on a plea agreement between the state and defense. The probation has the following special conditions: not be present on University of Missouri property, no possession of controlled substances without a prescription and perform 100 hours of community service work within 90 days. Records also state Conant is not to be discharged from probation until all court costs, fees and restitution are paid in full.
