Car flips over on I-70 in Columbia, two people in custody

UPDATE: Columbia Police said two people were taken into custody in connection with the crash on I-70. According to investigators, the vehicle involved was determined to be stolen. Police said a third person who was extricated from the vehicle was taken to the hospital with injuries.

ORIGINAL: The Columbia Fire Department responded to a crash on I-70 Tuesday night that sent at least one person to the hospital.

It happened in the westbound lanes near the Stadium exit after 6 p.m. One car was flipped on its top in the median.

As of 7 p.m., traffic was still backed up in the area of the crash.

ABC 17 News crews saw a person running from the scene and K9s were brought out. ABC 17 News has contacted the Columbia Police Department to find out if this incident was connected to the crash.
