Glasgow Public Works issues boil advisory

A boil advisory has been issued for Glasgow residents.

According to Public Works Superintendent Victor Suttner, a water main break on First Street is what caused the advisory.

It happened sometime this morning before 7:30 a.m. and crews are working to replace a section of pipe.

The city hopes to turn the water back on to the pipe around 6:00 p.m. without any further breaks.

The advisory will stay in effect until June 8.
