More isolated showers and storms this afternoon, heat eases off for now.
THIS AFTERNOON: Storms are possible this afternoon and evening across mid-Missouri as energy off Alberto continues to swing into the area. While we’re not looking at the direct impacts of the storm system, the bits and pieces that do come our way will help spark off isolated showers and thunderstorms similar to what we have seen over the past several days. Once we approach the early evening hours we look to dry out as temperatures slowly pull back into the low 80s.
TONIGHT: Lingering storms are possible overnight, with the humid conditions sticking around. Lows will bottom out in the upper 60s. As has been the case the past several days, any locations that see storms develop could see some patchy fog into the night. Winds will remain out of the east tonight up to 8 mph.
EXTENDED: A cluster of storms moving into southwestern Missouri early Wednesday morning will spread clouds and possibly a few showers as far east as Truman Reservoir and western Camden co. early but most areas will stay dry until Wednesday afternoon. The heat will come down a few degrees for Wednesday with a spotty storms as Alberto tracks to our east and an upper level wave moves in from the west. Highs will reach the upper 80s Wednesday and lower 90s for the end of the week. There continues to be a slight storm chance Thursday and again this weekend as temperatures reach into the mid to upper 80s. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest updates to the forecast.
