Mexico man arrested for robbery of Indiana man
On Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 2:25 am, the Mexico Department of Public Safety was called to the 600 block of Wade Street for a robbery, according to a Facebook post.
A 55-year-old man from Indiana who was in town for Memorial Day weekend was at a local bar, buying drinks for other patrons, when a man he didn’t know asked if he wanted to go to a private party when the bar closed.
The victim went with the man to the 600 block of Wade Street where the man punched the victim and took some money and personal effects, according to the Facebook post.
Teron A. Belcher, 36, of Mexico, was arrested for second-degree robbery on May 26.
The victim did seek medical attention for injuries he recieved in the robbery.
