Some slight heat relief by midweek, Rain chance by Wednesday
THIS AFTERNOON: We’re tracking the chance of some pop-up showers and storms into this afternoon and evening, our latest data indicates between 1-4pm are the best chances of seeing any rain, and it looks to be along HWY 63 and points to the west., temps will be remain in the low 90s with heat index values in the upper 90s.
TONIGHT: As has been the case the last couple of nights, any showers and thunderstorms that have developed in the afternoon hours will be dissipating as the sun sets. We drop down to the upper 60s and low 70s once again with mostly clear skies.
EXTENDED: This warm weather pattern will continue well into the week ahead. Temperatures will stay much above average in the afternoons in the upper 80s to low 90s. We’re continuing to track the position of what will be the remnants of Subtropical Storm Alberto. The current forecast has it to the east of Mid-Missouri, but a slight jog west in that track could spell more significant rainfall for the middle of the week.
