After weekend full of active weather, this work week starts off an a quiet note

MONDAY: As the large area of low pressure moves off to the east we could see a few spotty showers leftover this morning for your commute. You may want to have the umbrella handy as you head out the door. However, by 9am we clear out and begin to see sunshine break back into Mid-Missouri for the afternoon with highs rising into the upper 70s with a slight breeze out of the west.

TONIGHT: A calm night is in store as winds settle and temperatures fall back into the low 60s by morning. Skies will remain partly cloudy.

EXTENDED: We warm up Tuesday as winds turn back out of the south, with temperatures making it in to the mid to upper 80s again. We’ll see more sunshine under partly cloudy conditions as well. The rainy, unsettled pattern ramps up again by Thursday morning as we watch another parade of systems roll through the area into the weekend with on an off rain/storm chances through Sunday. We will watch for the severe potential, but as of now there are no severe threats in place. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest updates to the forecast.
