Warm days continue, heating up late-week

TONIGHT: Isolated evening storms end, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies overnight with patchy fog possible by morning. Lows will drop into the lower 60s with a light northeast wind to 6 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Skies will remain partly sunny with only an isolated storm chance, mainly south of I-70 in the afternoon and early evening. Most areas will stay dry with high temperatures in the lower 80s with northeast winds under 8 mph.

EXTENDED: There continues to be an isolated storm chance Thursday mainly south of I-70 but most areas will stay dry with high temperatures in the mid 80s. We’ll start heating up into the upper 80s Friday as winds shift to the southeast. Friday looks dry but storms could return as early as Saturday morning from the northwest. It looks hot and a bit humid Saturday as we reach near 90 degrees. A few more storms are possible Saturday afternoon but will become more likely Saturday night into Sunday morning as a cold front moves through. This will cool us back into the lower 80s Sunday as winds shift back to the north. We’ll watch for the potential of strong to severe storms Saturday and Saturday night.
