Storms decreasing Tuesday night
TONIGHT: The threat of severe storms will continue to decrease overnight with only an isolated severe storm threat. Showers and t-storms will be more numerous south of I-70 until midnight and gradually end as a few more storms move in north of I-70 after midnight. None of the late-night storms are expected to be severe. Temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 60s.
TUESDAY: A few morning storms are possible along and north of I-70 but will be very spotty. A cold front will push to our south during the afternoon and it’s possible that a few storms could develop along this boundary south of I-70 but would be short-lived. Winds will shift to the north in the afternoon up to 10 mph and it will be cooler, with high temperatures near 80 north of I-70 and low to mid 80s south.
EXTENDED: We’ll be drier tWednesday and early Thursday with only isolated storm chances, mainly in the Ozarks. High temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s but will climb to the upper 80s Friday as warmer air returns with a warm front lifting back to the north. This will increase storm chances from Friday night through the weekend as the boundary sets up over Mid-Missouri, moving to our north then back to the south again. Temperatures will climb to near 90 Saturday, dropping to the lower 80s Sunday as storm chances continue. Watch ABC 17 News for the newest forecast and check back here for updates.
