Warm Weekend Will Spill Into Work Week
MOTHER’S DAY: Another warm day on tap here in Mid-Missouri. We’ll see a mix of clouds and sun on this Mother’s Day as we heat up to the upper 80s and low 90s, likely breaking the record high for the day in Columbia. A slight breeze out of the southwest at 10-13 mph will make it feel slightly better outside.
TONIGHT: We’ll be looking at another mild night for your Sunday evening. Temperatures will only cool off to the upper 60s and low 70s across the area. Our winds will slow a bit, but still be out of the south at 6-8 mph.
EXTENDED: We’re going to see a chance of showers and thunderstorms for much through Thursday. This certainly doesn’t mean we will see rain each and every day, but the chance will be there. Highs Monday and Tuesday could be flirting with 90 yet again, where the record Monday could be tied or broken. Our best chance of showers will be toward the middle of the week, as the high pressure overhead begins to break down a bit more. We will see temperatures cool back toward normal as we head toward the end of the week. Watch ABC 17 News for the newest forecast and check back here for updates.
