Advisory issued for missing 72-year-old man canceled, man found safe

UPDATE 9:14 P.M.: The endangered silver advisory has been canceled due to Channel being found safe.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Lake of the Ozark Police Department has issued an endangered silver advisory for a missing 72-year-old man.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the man, Billie Junior Channel, was reported missing from 37 Bobwhite Ln at 10:00 a.m. Thursday.

He is a white male who is 5’11” inches and weighs 220 lbs. He’s also bald with hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. His car, an orange 2017 Toyota Tundra with the license plate MO, 2EB371 was last seen at the residence.

The highway patrol said Channel becomes confused easily and is on medication that prevents him from operating a motor vehicle.
