On and off chances of t-storms through this week

TUESDAY: We’ll start the day mild and sunny but temperatures will warm quickly, reaching the upper 70s by noon and into the lower 80s in the afternoon. It will be a bit breezy with southeast winds at 12-16 mph, gusting to 20 mph at times as clouds increase late in the day.

TONIGHT: A warm front will bring showers and t-storms tonnight after midnight as low level winds at 2000 feet increase from the south feeding moisture into the storms. There is a marginal severe threat west of HWY 63 and north of I-70 Tuesday evening and night for possible large hail. At this time it looks like the best chance of storms with heavy rain will be along and north of I-70 with pockets of an inch to inch and a half possible. Temperatures

EXTENDED: Storms will move out by daybreak Wednesday and skies will become partly sunny, leading to a warm afternoon as we reach into the mid 80s. We’ll see another chance of t-storms Wednesday afternoon into early evening as a cold front moves south and stalls south of I-70. There is a chance of strong to severe storms with a higher severe threat east of HWY 63 where there is a marginal of storms with damaging wind or large hail. Storms end Wednesday night and it will stay mild with lows in the low 60s. Highs will top out in the mid and upper 80s. As the stalled front moves north as a warm front Thursday, storms are possible again in the afternoon and evening. Friday night showers and storms look possible north of I-70. Saturday looks dry and very warm with highs in the mid to upper 80s. More storms are possible Saturday night and for Mother’s Day as another slow moving front moves through.
