Belle man arrested for stealing vehicle, knocking glass out of vehicle

A Belle man is behind bars after deputies say he stole a vehicle from the Rich Fountain area.

Deputies responded to a call of a stolen vehicle on Friday. During the investigation, the vehicle was located at the Osage County Sheriff’s Office parking lot.

Christopher Holt, 34, from Belle had knocked the back glass out of the vehicle and walked away into the city of Linn.

Deputies were able to make contact with Holt at the Linn Break time gas station. At the time of his arrest, deputies say he had in his possession the key for the vehicle that was taken from Rich Fountain.

Holt is being held on a warrant from another county and on charges relating to the stolen vehicle. He was arrested on suspicion of tampering with a motor vehicle and property damage.
