Greeley Drive mourns today after yesterday’s gruesome crime scene

Suspect or suspects involved in the Greeley Drive shooting are still on the loose.

ABC 17 spoke to several neighbors and witnesses today in the area who say they saw the whole thing happen.

One man told us he heard the gunshots, he heard the cries, and he still has regrets.

“Put him in the back of my truck and take him to the hospital. I wish I would have thought of that in the very beginning. It would have saved ten minutes or so and maybe he’d still be here,” said the witness.

He says he tried everything he could from C.P.R. to direct pressure. He told us it was like waiting for the ambulance in slow motion.

“So I started praying for him and he acknowledged that I was praying for him, I told him to be at peace and if it’s time for you to go, you gotta go. Don’t fight it,” he said.

Other witnesses said it all started with a fight, they heard screaming from their houses, but then they heard popping sounds; seven to nine of them.

Other bystanders told us they have seen drug deals on the corner. They believe drugs are blame for yesterday’s loss.
