Few storms tonight- nice end to the work week
TONIGHT: A narrow line of storms ahead of a cold front will move into Mid-Missouri after 10 PM but will also be weakening as it moves into more stable air. The better chance of a shower or t-storm will be north of HWY 24 with a low chance south, where most areas will be missed by rain. Severe storms are not expected. Winds will be out of the south up to 23 mph and gusting as high as 28 mph overnight with skies remaining partly to mostly cloudy.
FRIDAY: A stray shower is possible near I-44 until 8 AM but most areas will be dry. Clouds will gradually break up through the day, lingering near I-44 until late afternoon. It will be a mild and less humid day with highs in the mid to upper 70s and a north breeze up to 12 mph.
EXTENDED: As we head into the weekend, we look warm and dry for Saturday with temperatures reaching near 80 and winds from the west to southwest up to 10 mph. A cold front brings a chance of showers and t-storms Sunday afternoon with high temperatures in the upper 70s to near 80. These move out Sunday evening and we’ll start the work week dry and mild with highs in the 70s and nights in the 50s.
