Police searching for suspect in Black and Gold Bar shooting

UPDATE: The University of Missouri Police Department sent out a picture of the suspect in a tweet Tuesday evening.

Police say Miles Hillegas is the suspect connected to the shooting at Black and Gold Bar last week.

Anyone who sees Hillegas is advised to call 911.

ORIGINAL: A suspect has been identified in the Black and Gold Bar shooting last Thursday that left one man with a gunshot wound.

According to official documents, the victim went outside of the business to tell two people to leave the property. Miles Hillegas armed himself with a sledge hammer and started swinging at the victim.

Hillegas then got in his car and tried to run the victim over. The victim started walking towards the business to go inside, and looked back towards Hillegas’ vehicle. Hillegas fired at the victim and shot him in the upper right thigh.

The victim said he didn’t know Hillegas, but was able to show authorities a picture of the vehicle’s license plate.

The victim identified Hillegas in a photo line-up.
