Man dies after hitting tree in Pettis County vehicle crash
A young man died after the vehicle he was driving hit a tree in Pettis County on Thursday night.
The crash happened after the vehicle, a 1999 Dodge, began to skid going w estbound on Highway B, just west of Ragar Road.
The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and hit a tree.
The driver, Timothy Callahan, 22, of Green Ridge, was taken to Bothwell Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other occupant in the car, Lindsey Breads, 21, of La Monte, was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries.
Callahan and Breads were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
