Another round of snow hits Mid-Missouri Sunday
For the second weekend in a row, snow hit the ground in Mid-Missouri.
Flurries began Sunday afternoon with the snowfall increasing later in the evening.
Both Columbia and Jefferson City Public Works had crews on standby in anticipation of the winter weather.
Columbia Public Works said widespread slickness was not expected on the roads, but stilled urged people to drive cautiously.
Much of Mid-Missouri also experienced snow on Easter Sunday, which caused some difficulties for drivers traveling for the holiday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said it responded to 32 slide-offs and 54 crashes. Only minor injuries were reported.
