UPDATE: Columbia police investigating shots fired on westbound I-70
UPDATE: Columbia Police confirm one person has minor injuries from broken glass after an early-morning shots-fired incident on I-70 just west of Stadium Boulevard.
Officers responded to the area at 2:22 a.m. for a report of an assault with a gun. The preliminary investigation revealed a female was westbound on I-70 when a motorcycle that had been traveling in front of her began slowing down.
When the victim approached the exit, the motorcyclist began firing rounds towards her.
The motorcyclist t is described as a white man, last seen wearing a black jacket with unknown patches on it.
ORIGINAL: Columbia police officers were at the scene of a traffic incident on I-70 Friday morning.
It happened just before 2:30 a.m. near mile marker 124.
Initial reports indicate a person may have been injured in an exchange between drivers that involved a gun.
ABC 17 News is working to get more information about the incident and if anyone was injured.
