Columbia police arrest woman accused of shoplifting

Columbia police arrested Kayla Davis on Wednesday afternoon after officers were dispatched to Mid-America Harley Davidson on Freedom Drive for reports of shoplifting.

Witnesses saw Davis enter a fitting room with articles of clothing and then leave the room with the same clothes, but with the sensor tag ripped off. Officers said Davis ruined the clothes.

Police found two articles of clothing stuffed inside of her pants, as well as a wallet that contained several needles and a baggie with drugs.

Davis faces possible charges of possession f a controlled substance, property damage and stealing.
