I’m dreaming of a white… Easter???

TONIGHT : Skies will clear out briefly before clouding up in the early morning hours. Combine that with winds out of the north, and we’re going to be waking up to some well below normal temperatures in the upper 20s on our Easter Sunday.

EASTER SUNDAY: We will stay dry through the morning hours, so morning church services should stay unaffected by the snow which arrives later in the afternoon. However, it will be cold as you head out the door in the morning with temperatures in the mid to upper 20s and wind chills in the teens, you’ll want to grab the heavy jacket. Snow will begin after 2pm, and increase through the early evening hours. The heaviest snow will fall around 5pm for most of the viewing area. Places well south of I-70 may also see sleet or rain mix in. Most places will round out at 1-3″ of snow, with those high amounts being closer to I-70 and points north. Snow will come to an end by 10pm.

EXTENDED: We will see a rollercoaster ride of temperature this week, as we watch rain return Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday will likely be the warmest day of the week as we top out near 60. Another cold front is likely to roll through Thursday evening that will bring another round of “arctic” cold Friday into next weekend. There’s even potential we could see another round of snow.
