Woman arrested for reportedly stealing from Boone County home

Boone County deputies arrested a woman after a burglary Wednesday night.

Deputies responded to the 5800 block of South Howard Orchard Road around 6:30 p.m. after residents reported an unknown woman was in their home and going through their belongings before running away.

The resident told deputies the suspect got into his home by taking his keys from his vehicle, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies found the suspect, Joyce Reynolds, 40, a short distance away. Reynolds reportedly had several items in her possession from the home, as well as the resident’s keys.

Deputies said Reynolds also had drug-related items consistent with meth use.

Deputies arrested Reynolds on suspicion of burglary, stealing and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
