Wanted man arrested for causing significant injuries to woman, threatening her life

Columbia police arrested Robert Wlson after officers were informed of a past assault.

Wilson was accused of hitting a female victim in the face and head repeatedly with a closed fist and gun in the 400 block of Sexton Road.

Police said the victim had significant cuts to her face and head. Wilson was also accused of threatening the victim’s life.

The assault took place in a room where a 10-year-old juvenile was, police said.

Officers submitted a warrant request to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Wilson was arrested for two felony warrants with a total bond of $103,000 and a misdemeanor warrant with a bond of $1,000.
