Man accused of taking pictures of MU students in bathroom arrested for child pornography

UPDATE: Vanderlinde has been charged with possession of child pornography.

According to the probable cause statement, investigators found videos and multiple images depicting children as young as infants involved in sex acts.

ORIGINAL STORY: Boone County deputies arrested Jacob Vanderlinde on Thursday after officers were alerted about possible child pornography on his phone.

ABC 17 previously reported that Vanderlinde was accused of taking pictures of students in a bathroom on Mizzou’s campus.

When MUPD arrested him, a phone was collected and examined. A forensic examiner located evidence of child pornography on the phone.

A search warrant was served at Vanderlinde’s house in the 1600 block of Sylvan Lane on Thursday and officers found several pieces of evidence.

Vanderlinde faces possible charges of possession of child pornography. He is currently in the Boone County Jail.
