Man charged with stealing woman’s wallet, using her debit card without permission

A man has been charged with burglary, stealing and fraudulent use of a credit card after he was accused of taking a woman’s debit card and using it without her permission.

Osage Beach police said they responded to the 1100 block of Links Road on Feb. 23 for reports of a stolen wallet.

The victim claimed that Jeffery Nash entered her apartment through an unlocked door and took her wallet.

The victim said she noticed the wallet was stolen when she received a notice that her pre-paid debit card had been used at the Osage Beach Taco Bell and a Shell gas station.

According to the probable cause statement, Nash spent over 30 dollars at the two locations.

Officers were able to determine Nash was the suspect by surveillance footage and food receipts.

Police said Nash has previously been charged with stealing, forgery and robbery.
