UPDATE: Sedalia police arrest two after officers find stolen vehicle, drugs
UPDATE 4:10 pm: Sedalia police also arrested Shawn Steele in connection to the incident.
According to the probable cause statement, officers saw Steele walking out of a nearby Walmart with an employee running after him.
The employee claimed Steele had walked out of the store without purchasing his items.
Steele admitted to stealing two bandanas, one pair of jeans, five hats, a hooded sweatshirt and a power bank for a cell phone.
Steele has been charged with tampering with a motor vehicle and stealing.
ORIGINAL STORY: Sedalia police arrested Jessica Wissman on Saturday after officers pulled over a car believed to be stolen out of Iowa.
Police said when they approached the car they came in contact with Wissman.
Officers said they were able to confirm the car was stolen and found a gun, methamphetamine, glass smoking pipes and a digital scale inside of the vehicle.
Wissman claimed she had no knowledge of the drugs or drug paraphernalia and also said she had no idea the vehicle was stolen.
Wissman was charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
