UPDATE: Missing woman and child have been found safe

UPDATE 3/22: Police said that Brown and Genova have been found and are safe.

Officers said no other details are being released at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY: Poplar Bluff police are looking for a missing woman and child believed to be in the Osage Beach area.

Police said Sara Brown, 32, and Geneva Genova, 1, left a family member’s residence on March 7 and have not been seen since.

Family members told officers that they had last spoken with Brown on March 16, but she refused to provide her location.

Family members are concerned about Brown’s mental state and believe she has paranoia.

Investigators have confirmed that Brown and Genova are in the Osage Beach area but officers have not been able to find them yet.

Brown is believed to be driving a white 2009 Cadillac CTS with a Missouri license plate bearing CL2-G5X.
