Quiet and warmer conditions into Wednesday afternoon
WEDNESDAY: Sunny and quiet conditions have returned to the region, with highs slowly climbing into the upper 40s and lower 50s through the day. Winds will remain out of the northwest up to 10 mph, yielding a wind chill value remaining in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
TONIGHT: We will see calming winds tonight as low temperatures drop back into the mid 30s with clouds gradually building. Wind chill will make it feel a tad colder for the morning commute so grab that coat early on tomorrow.
EXTENDED: We’ll warm up a bit the next few days, reaching near 60 Thursday. We’ll have some clouds around with a slight chance of light rain in northeastern Missouri Thursday morning. Most of Mid-Missouri will stay dry but we can’t rule out a few showers in Monroe, Audrain and Montgomery counties early in the day. Showers will become more likely Friday into Saturday as a low pressure system tracks into the area. Temperatures will top out towards 60 on Saturday. Once a cold front swings through with this system northwesterly flow will cool us back into the mid to upper 50s Sunday through Tuesday with rain possible late Sunday and Monday.
